STUDY ON THE HIGH-ALUMINOUS REFRACTORY STUDY ON THE DESILICONING PHENOMENON BY THE METHOD OF THERMODYNAMICAL CALCULATIONS By Toshio watanabe Reducing the silica, which contained in high aluminous refractory, to metalic silicon with carbon at high temperature, is interesting process in Refractory Industry. Auther has studied the machanisms of the reducing reactions by the method of the thermodynamical calculations. The results of calculations are showen as follow; 1. 2. 3. The Nernst's Thermodynamieal formula, deri.vated from the practical uses is as follow From the log K T curve, the uper reactions, showed, are take nplaced at temperature (absolute), 1-formula at 1975, and 2-formula at 1800. The 3-formula has showed to diffeult to take place the reducing-reaction. Auther, too, obtained the intresting results in preliminary experiments on this observa tion. and which will be reported on the other papers. (Dairen Yogyo ,Co. Ltd.)
